This is all very exciting for us!

New owners have poured their hearts, imagination and cash into updating the 10 rooms at the 1918 Hotel Charlotte while keeping the vintage flair alive. The cute Cafe does creative things with chicken. Free wi-fi too.

  • Frommer's National Parks of the American West, 3rd Edition

  • We've been blogged in Italian! This post is from a guest who visited us with 3 of his college friends four years ago, just after we bought the hotel. It was very late when they arrived seeking a room. • Hotel Charlotte is blogged by Eventful Woman!

...We finished our drinks and skipped back across the road to the historic Hotel Charlotte, our bed & breakfast lodging for the next two nights. www.hotelcharlotte.com Built in 1918, it still looked a trim little place with soft blue exterior paint, cream coloured windowsills and hanging flower baskets dangling from the veranda. The beds were luxurious and topped with patchwork quilts. I smiled as I slipped between the crisp linen sheets, recalling that night six years ago, when we made camp in the dark, and slept on the cold, hard ground....

  • Bob, a guest made a web page about the Hotel Charlotte and his trip to Yosemite.

  • Tim from London Blogged us!

Lynn and her happy crew at the Charlotte Hotel delivered with a very comfortable stopover - a proper guests' parlour with board games and comfy chairs, a great dinner and a very friendly atmosphere (Lynn even said 'Toodles' when we left !).

  • We were blogged by guests visiting us from Singapore with their family of 4.

  • This in via email from Dean and Lyn, fall guests:

"Thank you again for a wonderful weekend.  We really enjoyed our stay.  Thank you for setting up the room with flowers, champagne, and candy - my wife loved it.  We were very comfortable and can't wait to come again.  Dinner was great and you and your staff made us feel at home.  Thanks for the directions to Twist Road on our way to Black Oak Sunday.  It was a beautiful drive - almost worth what we lost at the casino. I think we'll visit yearly on our anniversary and not wait 25 years to experience Groveland and the Hotel Charlotte again.  Next time we might even go to the costume party at the Iron Door. What a great way to celebrate our 25th.  Thanks again"

Mostly I come down at night before I go to bed and rub his belly and give him a kiss. Also, this hotel feels like home. I would really recommend this hotel if anyone was going to Yosemite Park the next day.
